Electrolytic copper foil Copper melting is the first process. As the saying goes, "disease comes from the mouth", so if you want to make good copper foil, copper melting is a very important control point.

First of all, the quality of copper should be strictly controlled. The main control indicators include oil pollution, organic matter, copper content, iron content, and lead content. The quality of electrolytic copper plate will be better than that of copper rod and copper wire. When using copper rod and copper wire, copper wire drawing oil should be strictly tested and used after smouldering, otherwise a large number of penetration points will be caused, and the treatment of copper oxide after smouldering is also critical, otherwise problems such as lumps and burrs will occur.

The second is copper dissolution, which is mainly divided into high temperature copper dissolution, low temperature spray copper dissolution and foam microwave copper dissolution. I will describe the advantages and disadvantages of three copper dissolving methods respectively:

1. High temperature copper dissolution, also known as immersion copper dissolution method, electrolyte is fully immersed in copper material, copper dissolution temperature is 80-90 ℃, and down blowing method.

Advantages: Stable process results, moderate copper dissolving speed.

Disadvantages: large amount of sour gas, serious damage to system additives caused by high temperature, large copper storage, high capital occupation, and large total liquid volume.

2. Low temperature copper dissolution, also known as spray copper dissolution, uses the upper spray electrolyte to the copper material, the side supply air, and the lower discharge liquid. The copper material mainly uses copper rod and copper wire.

Advantages: less copper consumption, less capital occupation, lower copper dissolving temperature, less damage to system additives, less total liquid consumption, and less steam consumption.

Disadvantages: slow copper dissolving speed, large copper dissolving tank and high cost.

3. Foam microwave copper dissolving tank is a technology used for copper foil copper dissolving in recent years. It mainly uses high-pressure pump to produce a large amount of foam to dissolve copper quickly.

Advantages: fast copper dissolution, less copper consumption, less acid gas, no steam.

Disadvantages: high equipment failure rate.
