The new energy vehicle policy has not been implemented for a long time, and the operation and production of downstream enterprises are abnormal, especially in order to adapt to the requirements of "high energy density", and consumption enters the "off-season" in advance. However, the demand for consumer electronics is strong, and the overall supply is still insufficient.
2、 Policy disturbance or slow down the pace of production
Affected by the domestic new energy vehicle policy, large investment, long equipment procurement cycle (prices are also soaring), stricter environmental protection and other factors, the expansion of enterprises is more cautious and rational. Furthermore, when Samsung mobile phones and other companies have quality problems, and Apple mobile phone manufacturing may be further relocated, the expansion of South Korea and other companies should be much more cautious than that of mainland companies.
3、 Must pay attention to the structural demand change of lithium battery copper foil
1. In order to improve the "energy density", it is a general trend to use thinner lithium copper foil. It is not ruled out that it will be widely spread in 17 years, such as 9 μ m→8 μ m，8 μ m→6 μ m. Higher value added (6 μ M processing cost has exceeded 70000/ton μ M is 45000/t), production and supply are more difficult (domestic production capacity is 6 μ M enterprises are Nord and Lingbao).
2. Overseas copper foil enterprises are not willing to expand. The demand for new lithium battery copper foil overseas, such as Tesla and BMW, cannot be underestimated. It may be inevitable for overseas giants to turn to mainland copper foil enterprises.
4、 There will be a serious shortage of copper foil (including lithium battery copper foil and standard copper foil) in 2017
It is expected that the copper foil gap will further expand in 2017, especially the lithium battery copper foil gap may reach 1000 tons/month. Compared with the widespread concern of the new energy vehicle policy in the industry, what we are most worried about is that after everything returns to normal, there will be a deeper shortage of copper foil.
