Generally, standard foils are single-sided rough copper foils - that is, one side is bright and the other side is rough. This kind of copper foil is generally used for copper clad laminate or FPC, the rough surface can be well bonded with FR4 and other substrates, and the smooth surface can facilitate printing lines.
Single sided copper foil is also used for lithium ion batteries.
